Rangers injury update provided by Philippe Clement ahead of Scottish Cup clash

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has provided an injury update on his squad as they prepare to host Queen’s Park at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup this weekend.

Danilo is set to return to training next week, while defensive duo Dujon Sterling and Leon Balogun will follow suit the week after.

In a boost for the squad, Ridvan Yilmaz and Leon King have already rejoined their teammates in training, as they continue their recovery process.

Welcoming back more key players is sure to provide a significant boost to Clement’s options as Rangers look to finish the season strongly.

The Light Blues have progressed into the last-16 of the Europa League and are striving to end the domestic campaign on a positive note too.

"Oscar Cortes will still be a few weeks," said Clement. "We have a few ones who will come back short term. So, like I said, Danilo will be back normally next week.

"I expect a week after Dujon Sterling and Leon Balogun to be back. Ridvan is back already in training. Leon King is also back in training after his conclusion.

"And the others, it's a little bit longer. I don't want to put one week on it because I don't want to force my medical staff into a corner."
