Rangers have had an opening bid for Cyriel Dessers knocked back but remain in talks over a deal, according to a report.
Michael Beale is set for a major summer overhaul at the Light Blues and the hard work is already well underway. The Ibrox faithful said goodbye to five departing stars in the shape of Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield and Filip Helander at the final home game of the season against Hearts while two new faces have arrived through the door.
Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling have both put pen to paper on pre-contracts from Norwich City and Chelsea and will hook up with their new side for pre-season as preparations get underway to dethrone Celtic and try qualify for the Champions League group stage.

A striker is high of the transfer priority list for Beale and the Daily Record report that they've made their move for Cremonese striker Dessers with a significant seven figure bid.
However, that proposal has been rejected but talks are still ongoing in an effort to see if a deal can be struck between the two parties for the 28-year-old.
Cremonese have just been relegated to Serie B from Italy's top flight and are determined to try and recoup as much of the £6million fee they shelled out to Genk for his services.
The Ibrox men are still working on moves for Jack Butland and have been handed a major boost in their pursuit with Crystal Palace opting against an option to extend his deal while they are also keen on Jose Cifuentes from Los Angeles FC.
Morgan Whittaker and Jonathan Panzo are two other options named as potential Beale targets.
