Former Rangers cult hero Bert Konterman has returned to football as a European scout for Brighton...after working as a carpenter.
The 54-year-old spent three years at Ibrox after being signed by Dick Advocaat for £4.5million from Feyenoord and scored a famous 30-yard winner in extra time of a Scottish League Cup semi-final against Celtic in 2002.
Since retiring, he's coached Dutch youth teams and was the Netherlands Under 20s manager and had a spell as manager of his first club FC Zwolle three years ago before setting up his own carpentry business.
But he's revealed why he is now back in football.

Konterman said: "Carpentry is really beautiful. But I kept that urge for football.
"A scout from Brighton got in contact with me about players from the top four in the Netherlands.
"They kept calling and eventually offered me a contract. I was going to do it for free!
"You can tell that Brighton is not just any club. I have to look at players Brighton have noticed based on data and performances.
"I have to look at those guys. And try to gather as much background information as possible.
"It's good. I'm sitting on a football stand somewhere all week. What more could you want?"
