An 11-year-old Rangers superfan received the surprise of his life when the Scottish football giant's CEO personally responded to his ambitious application for the club's vacant managerial position.
Young Charlie Dodds, who regularly attends matches at Ibrox with his father, took it upon himself to solve Rangers' on-field challenges by sending in a heartfelt handwritten letter applying for the top job at the club he loves.
That came following Philippe Clement's sacking in February, with legendary captain Barry Ferguson leading an interim senior coaching team until the end of the current season.
"I'd like to apply for the vacant Rangers Manager Job," wrote the confident youngster in his March 1st application. "I am a fan and go to Ibrox with my Papa and I can see where the team is going wrong."

Charlie didn't stop at identifying the problems that resulted in Clement's dismissal - he offered clear tactical solutions that would impress even seasoned pundits.
"I think we need to develop the young players and start playing fast attacking football, instead of side to side and back to the keeper," he suggested, demonstrating tactical awareness beyond his years.
His application highlighted his management credentials, citing experience "managing my sister and her friends" and helping his youth team's manager by "talking to younger players throughout the game."

And the Ibrox bigwig even included a photograph of Charlie's current hero, Vaclav Cerny, celebrating a goal - responding to the young fan's request to "please sign Cerny as he's my favourite player. Thank you."
Stewart's heartwarming response read: "Dear Charlie,
"Thank you for your letter of 1 March and for your interest in the Manager's position.
"I was impressed with the insight you are showing and at such a young age and I am sure if you apply the same tenacity to your studies, a future career in sports could well be on the cards.
"Thank you for taking the time to write and I hope you and your Papa enjoy the remainder of the season and hopefully the continuation of the team's excellent run in Europe.
"I have taken the opportunity to enclose a photo of Vaclav celebrating one of his many goals this season which I hope you will enjoy.
"Yours sincerely,
"[Signature] Patrick Stewart CEO."
