Rangers hit with £12k UEFA fine over 'improper conduct of the team'

RANGERS have been fined by UEFA over "improper conduct" in the Champions League loss against Napoli.

Competition chiefs have ordered Rangers to pay €14,000 (£12,300) over the charge.

The club was cited over Article 15(4) DR of UEFA regulations.

And the decision references "improper conduct of the team".

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men received six yellow cards in the fixture with James Sands sent off for two bookable offences.

John Lundstram, James Tavernier, Borna Barisic and Alfredo Morelos were all cautioned in the match alongside Sands' two yellows.

Rangers fell to a 3-0 defeat in the match with Matteo Politano, Giacomo Raspadori and Tanguy Ndombele all netting at Ibrox.
