Barry Ferguson says his last managerial stint at Alloa Athletic has put the Rangers legend off a return to the dugout for now.
The former midfielder captained the Ibrox club and established himself at a high level as a player, but he's had to try his hand in lower league football during his post-playing career. Stints as boss at Clyde, Kelty Hearts and Alloa have had varying levels of success, leaving the latter after less than a season in charge at League One level, with nine wins from 33 games.
He admits it wasn't a great experience at the Indodrill and one that sees him happy carrying out media work and spending time with his family. Rangers hero Ferguson told Go Radio: "I honestly don't at this moment in time (desire to return to management). I have no interest whatsoever in getting back in. I still love the game and I watch all sorts of football.

"The last job put a dampener on it. I will never say never but at this moment in time I have no interest. I am in a good place. I have a bit of free time to do things I wasn't able to do between playing and managing.
"I've got my family life as well. It just didn't work out (at Alloa). It didn't put a dampener on me in terms of I don't like the game, but I though I had to take a backseat and doing something else.
"For me, it's all about being happy, and I am at this moment. Why would I change that?"
