Rangers hero Ally McCoist in 'can't get enough of this' Oli McBurnie goal praise after FA Cup strike

Oli McBurnie produced FA Cup heroics for Sheffield United as they engaged in a five-goal thriller with Blackburn Rovers and booked their place in the last four.

The Rangers-daft forward, who made it 13 goals for the Blades this season, brought Paul Heckingbottom's side level in a stunning game at Bramall Lane. The 26-year-old has been in good form this season and helped sink Jon Dahl Tomasson's Rovers as he netted with ten to play with a neat piece of trickery and a sound finish inside the area. Tommy Doyle struck in stoppage time to spark wild scenes in the home ends of the ground.

The Scotland forward, who has not been chosen as part of Steve Clarke's squad for upcoming EURO 2024 qualifying games with Cyprus and Spain, last featured for the national side against the Faroe Islands in 2021. But the self-professed Ibrox fanatic did take the plaudits of Rangers hero Ally McCoist who couldn't contain himself on commentary.

The ever-entertaining commentator said following the strike: "I can't get enough of this. I'll tell you right now Clive [Tyldesley]. What a goal it is.

"Excellent goal. He comes back, you think he might hit it initially...he turns back on to his left. It's a tremendous finish across the face of the goal. It might go through the defender's legs but that won't matter one bit.

"A brilliant finish in at the back post, what a game we have here. McBurnie scraps to get his half-yard, hits it low and hard. And guess who is hanging about at the back, Billy Sharp, not required Billy. Great goal."
