Rangers handed squad boost ahead of Fenerbahce trip

Rangers have been boosted ahead of their trip to Turkieye with the availability of both John Souttar and Leon Balogun.

Barry Ferguson and his players will head to Eastern Europe later today as Rangers get set to take on Fenerbahce tomorrow night in the Europa League.

Jose Mourinho's side are the opponents for the Scottish Premiership giants, as both teams aim to make it into the last-eight of the competition.

The first leg will be played in Istanbul on Thursday night, and the return leg will be held in Glasgow on March 13.

Rangers' players took part in a training session at Auchenhowie at 9am this morning before they got ready to travel for the match.

And as per a report on Sky Sports, with their cameras present for the session, Souttar and Balogun took part in training.

The defensive duo have both missed lengthy spells of the season, especially since the turn of the year.

Balogun made his return to first-team action during the weekend defeat at the hands of Motherwell.

James Tavernier has had to fill in at centre-back during the period with Robin Propper and Clinton Nsiala as the club's only recognised central defenders. This has saw Ridvan Yilmaz - a left-back by trade - deployed at right-back.

Ianis Hagi and Danilo are included in the Europa League squad, and so could feature tomorrow evening.
