Rangers’ Hamza Igamane earns rave review from former AC Milan defender

Former AC Milan and France defender Adil Rami has tipped Rangers striker Hamza Igamane as a star of the future after he insisted he's been impressed by his displays.

Igamane played for Rangers in their last gasp Europa League 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford to Manchester United this week.

He's quickly established himself as Rangers' main striker this season after displacing Cyriel Dessers and has scored nine Scottish Premiership goals in just 12 starts for the Ibrox side.

And the 22-year-old Moroccan caught the eye of former Marseille, Lille, Valencia and Fenerbahce star Rami who was capped 36 times by France.

Rami, who holds dual French and Moroccan nationality, said: "A young Moroccan player who has caught my eye this season has been Hamza Igamane at Rangers.

"And the power he generates with his shooting is impressive.

"He also has that enthusiasm on the pitch and you can tell he loves playing.

"Igamane always wants to drive forward.

"As soon as he receives the ball, he runs towards the defenders and wants to 'kill' everyone with his movement!"
