Motherwell defender Ricki Lamie says the Fir Park players are happy that their fixture with Rangers has been moved to Saturday.
The Steelmen's first post-split fixture was scheduled to be played on Sunday lunchtime but it's been shifted forward 24 hours to help Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men prepare for a Europa League semi-final first leg with RB Leipzig next week.
Graham Alexander's 'Well side are looking to claim a European spot after Lamie's 93rd minute header in a 2-2 draw with Livingston sealed top half placement.
The defender - who has signed a pre-contract with Dundee - says a Saturday kick-off suits he and his teammates as a big match beckons.
He told Sky Sports: "It's a massive game. They are coming off major highs in the last fortnight, so we know it's a tough fixture.
"We can't get away from that, we are facing one of the top teams in the country, but we have had a couple of decent results at Ibrox.
"We need to try and get a result. I think the fixture change saves us an extra day's training!
"I think if you ask anybody in the changing room, they would much rather get the boots on during a Saturday."
