SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster is happy to see an agreement reached for Motherwell v Rangers to be moved this weekend.
After the Steelmen clinched a Premiership top six slot with a 2-2 draw at Livingston, the fixture was pencilled in for this Sunday as the club's first post-split game.
Rangers then lodged a request to Scottish football's hierarchy, asking for it be shifted as they have a Europa League semi-final first leg with RB Leipzig next Thursday.
It's now been slotted in for Saturday lunchtime after all relevant parties were satisfied with the terms of the move.
Doncaster believes it's a positive step.
He told Sky Sports: "We got a request from Rangers to bring that match forward by a day.
"Clearly, it was important we worked with Motherwell as the home club, with Sky Sports as the broadcaster, and with Police Scotland.
"I am delighted we have managed to achieve a result and hopefully help a Scottish club in Europe.
"My thanks goes to all those parties after the huge amount of work that's gone on."
