Rangers fans take over Manchester city centre ahead of Man Utd tie

Rangers fans have descended on Manchester city centre ahead of tonight's huge Europa League tie.

Philippe Clement's men are the visitors at Old Trafford as the Scottish Premiership side get set to face Manchester United.

Ruben Amorim will be looking for a reaction from his team following their 3-1 defeat to Brighton on Sunday.

However, Rangers will have other ideas given their terrific European form this season, with an all-but-guaranteed top-eight slot up for grabs with a win.

Around 3,700 Rangers supporters will be situated in the away end at Old Trafford this evening when the game kicks off at 8pm.

It is expected that there will be more Rangers fans present in the home ends though.

Several Gers fans have even travelled without a ticket, as this season's second installment of the Battle of Britain rapidly approaches.

Video footage from Manchester city centre has shown thousands of Rangers fans gathered in large groups as they await transport to take them out to the stadium.

Fans could be seen enjoying themselves, singing on the streets, while some lit flares to add to the 'European '-like atmosphere.

Fans could also be seen marching in the direction of Old Trafford, which was organised under the supervision of Greater Manchester Police.
