Rangers fans start Anfield pyro show as supporters light up Liverpool with flares

Rangers fans visiting Anfield this evening have gone pyro-daft ahead of their key Champions League clash.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men are meeting Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool at Anfield and ultras group the Union Bears marched to the stadium ahead of kick-off, singing songs in support of their team and lighting off pyrotechnics. As the teams emerged from the tunnel following a rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone from the home end, Rangers fans showed they were not to be silenced.

They met their team in front of a raucous atmosphere with blue flags, before unleashing a number of pyrotechnics that lit up the away end where goalkeeper Allan McGregor would be between the sticks in during the first half. It's a crucial game for the Light Blues after losing their opening two matches in Group A against Dutch champions Ajax and Italian heavyweights Napoli, losing 4-0 and 3-0 respectively.
