RANGERS fans in Seville have been urged to keep safe.
Glasgow health bosses issued a statement after thousands of supporters made their way to Spain to enjoy the Europa League final.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have reminded fans not to drink too much booze and stay out of the strong sunshine.
Temperatures in Seville are predicted to be as high as 38 degrees over the next few days.
A health board spokesperson said: "We hope that everyone attending the match can enjoy the football and festivities in a safe way, but it’s worth remembering that southern Spain is known for very high temperatures, even in May.
"The sun is also very strong at this time of year and the risk of sunburn, combined with heat exhaustion or heat stroke, should not be underestimated.
"Our advice to those enjoying the game in Seville would be to stay cool, avoid the strong sunshine and remain hydrated."
A list of tips for coping with hot weather has also been provided:
- look out for those who may struggle to keep themselves cool and hydrated – older people and those with underlying health conditions
