A Rangers fans group has revealed there will be no Old Firm tifo – because of a police order.
The Ibrox ultras are known for their displays, with banners prominent in Europe and the Glasgow derbies. But the Broomloan Collective insist nothing will be on show in Monday's Ibrox showdown. Rangers are looking to get back into the Scottish Premiership title race, with Michael Beale's side nine points behind Celtic, and the Scottish champions also boasting a huge goal difference advantage.
Beale's men will be cheered on by 50,000 screaming Rangers fans but there will be no tifo to adorn the fevered stand at the famous Govan ground. They said: "There will be no Tifo or actions in the Broomloan Stand for tomorrow's derby. This is due to increased pressure in weeks being applied to Rangers by Police Scotland who have now blocked access to the stadium to set up a tifo."
They added: "We have been informed the Police will have increased searches for those at the Broomloan Front turnstiles and in particular those entering BFI."
