A Rangers fan took a saw to a tree outside Firhill in his quest to see his team's first pre-season friendly.
The defending Premiership champions beat Partick Thistle 1-0 thanks to a late Cedric Itten goal as they returned to the pitch to begin their preparations for the season ahead.
It wasn't a game that will live long in the memory but it seems some fans were so desperate to attend they performed some impromptu tree surgery.
Only Thistle fans were permitted to attend the match, though plenty of Rangers fans were watching from the road to the canal, as shown by the cheers that followed Itten 's goal.
A video posted on Twitter appears to show one fan taking a saw to a small tree in order to gain a better view of the game.
The match ended in a 1-0 win for the visitors, with Steven Gerrard changing his entire team at half-time.
And youngster Stephen Kelly earned praise from assistant boss Gary McAllister after the final whistle.
He said: "Stephen Kelly did fantastically well.
"Stephen's progressed really well, he's had a couple of good loans, he's gone out and impressed every team he's gone to.
"I think he warranted that tonight, in amongst some senior players and some top international players he was very competent."
