Rangers deliver important supporter information ahead of Celtic clash

Rangers deliver important supporter information ahead of Celtic clash

RANGERS have issued important supporter information ahead of Sunday's trip to Celtic Park.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side travel to take on their Glasgow rivals this weekend in the hope of reducing the gap at the top of the league to three points.

And they'll have the backing of a small away support inside Celtic Park for the top-of-the-table clash.

But the club have warned supporters must meet at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome for 10am ahead of the 12pm kick-off.

Supporters will then be guided by a police escort into the stadium with an estimate of 10.30am for all away fans to be inside the ground.

The supporter information also warned any fans arriving at the assembly point after 10.15am might not get into the stadium until after kick-off.

The supporter info on the Rangers club website reads: "Safety advice has been issued for the forthcoming fixture on Sunday. It is essential that Rangers supporters who have received a ticket for the match assemble at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome for 10am whereupon they will receive a Police escort across London Road to turnstiles 66 and 67.

"It is estimated all visiting supporters will be inside the stadium by 10:30 after which the whole Stadium footprint will be opened for general access.

"Rangers supporters arriving after 10:15 should be aware they are likely to be held in the assembly point until a safe opportunity to escort fans over occurs. Police have advised this may be after kick-off.

"This decision has been taken in the interests of safety of all supporters attending the match and is supported by Police Scotland. This arrangement was agreed between Celtic, and Police Scotland and we fully expect the safety of our supporters to be given a priority.

"Please note, only those with a valid ticket will gain access to the stadium footprint and there will be rigorous checks in place."
