RANGERS are reportedly set to be cut out of the vote on a new TV deal for Scotland's top flight.
Sky Sports have proposed a new £30million deal for the broadcast rights to showcase Premiership matches.
Clubs had until midnight on Sunday to vote on the resolution after the 28-day deadline had passed.
All but one of the clubs supported the deal. Rangers were the only club not to respond - which cast serious doubt over the deal.
However, it has now emerged that SPFL bosses have moved to cut Rangers out of the vote in a bid to force the agreement through.
The Daily Record sport that Rangers have demanded an apology from league chiefs over their furious cinch row.
The report states that the Ibrox club want the legal fees forked out by the club and Douglas Park to be picked up by the SPFL too before giving the new Sky deal their approval.
However, on Monday, Neil Doncaster is said to have attempted to get around the Rangers blockade by sending out a "commercial resolution".
This requires the support of just 11 top flight clubs but also relies on six Championship clubs and a total of 32 clubs from across all four professional divisions to be in favour.
The report states that the SPFL are confident the resolution will pass by next Tuesday's deadline.
The Sky deal is worth £30million and would run until 2029.
The broadcaster's annual payments currently total to £24million. They will increase their live match package from 48 games to 60 by the 2024/25 campaign.
