Crocked Alfredo Morelos has been offered the chance to prove his fitness to Gio van Bronckhorst ahead of the crucial Champions League third qualifying round clash with Union Saint Gilloise.
The Colombian striker hasn't played since March after picking up a thigh injury, missing the Europa League final in Seville and also the Scottish Cup final victory at Hampden. However, he was spotted training with his teammates this week and appears to be building towards an Ibrox first-team return as he joined the seven new signings who arrived this summer in the 23-player list.
John Souttar, Ben Davies, Ridvan Yilmaz, Rabbi Matondo, Antonio Colak, Tom Lawrence and Malik Tillman are all thrown into the squad for the crucial qualifying clash with the Belgian side. However, there is no place for Nikola Katic with the defender's future at Ibrox up in the air after returning for pre-season following his loan spell at Hajduk Split. Jack Simpson, Stephen Kelly and Dundee United-bound Glenn Middleton also miss out.
Kemar Roofe, who has also been linked with a move away from Rangers, is left out after missing pre-season through injury. He is joined on the sidelines by Ianis Hagi and Filip Helander. The Swede was omitted from last season's Europa League squad due to injury.
Ibrox youngsters Leon King, Adam Devine and Alex Lowry are among the prospects named on the 'B' list, outside of the 23-man squad. However, highly-rated Charlie McCann has missed out.
