Philippe Clement has made his feelings on plastic pitches clear as Rangers take on Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena today.
The Belgian, 49, insists 'there's a reason' none of the top leagues across Europe allow their clubs to use artificial surfaces.
Of course, in the Premiership, both Livi and Kilmarnock have plastic pitches.
And ahead of this afternoon's match in the sunshine in West Lothian, Clement was critical of the surfaces.
🗣️ "If the Scottish league wants its teams to do well in Europe, it's important they have enough recovery time." 🗣️ "In all the top leagues in Europe, there's not one artificial pitch. There's a reason for that." Philippe Clement speaks ahead of Rangers' trip to Livingston 👇 pic.twitter.com/EwQgEWpZVl

"It's not the look, I knew what it was, I'd seen it," he said. "It's just another ball game. Different. We need to adapt.
"You look at the big leagues, the top leagues, there's not one artificial pitch. There's a reason for that.
"For the quality of football, for the quality also for spectators to watch good football games, it needs to be on grass pitches.
"It is what it is and we will adapt. It's not an excuse for any result."
Meanwhile, this is the wholesome moment that Steven Gerrard embraced his former Rangers player Fashion Sakala after their teams met in the Saudi Pro League.
Gerrard is the manager of Al Ettifaq having decided to join the football revolution in the Middle East in the summer.
The Liverpool and England legend had been out of work since the previous October having been sacked by Aston Villa. He left Rangers for the Premier League side in November 2021, but he lasted less than 12 months in charge.
He's been back in management since June after taking a break from the game, working as a pundit on TNT Sports.
Al Ettifaq currently sits seventh on 22 points in the Pro League after 13 games. Al Hilal lead the way at the summit of the table on 35 points.
He's not the only ex-Rangers connection to be enjoying life in Saudi, though.
Fashion Sakala joined Al Feiha in the summer after Michael Beale sanctioned his £3m transfer away from Ibrox.
