Graeme Souness admits Giovanni van Bronckhorst is under serious pressure with the Rangers boss handed a 'difficult to recover' verdict.
The Light Blues lost out 2-1 against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Sunday with the result leaving them trailing Ange Postecoglou and Celtic by seven points with 13 games played after their triumph over Dundee United on Saturday afternoon. The Ibrox men have dropped five points in their last three Premiership games with fans now losing patience.
The travelling Rangers support confronted skipper James Tavernier following the defeat in Perth with results and performances both domestically and in Europe this season coming under fire. The Ibrox men qualified for the Champions League group stages but left with six defeats from six and the unwanted tag as the 'worst ever' following just two goals and 22 against to leave them with a -20 goal difference from a section containing Liverpool, Napoli and Ajax.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Souness admitted: "Undoubtedly he’s a man under pressure.
"Miserable European campaign, losing to Celtic… it’s going to be difficult for him to recover.
"He’s got to beat Celtic twice. Celtic have to slip up.
"Managing Glasgow Rangers isn’t an easy job, as I’m sure managing Celtic isn’t.
"There’s games you’re expected to win simply because, certainly in my day, I could have one player that I bought for more money than the whole eleven players we were playing against. That in itself brought its own pressure.
"Glasgow Rangers are expected to win every game they play and that’s the price on the ticket when you manage that enormous football club. Right now he’s under pressure."
