John Gilligan has stepped down from the Rangers board for a second time following the appointment of Fraser Thornton as chairman and Patrick Stewart as CEO.
The move was confirmed by Companies House on January 31, ending Gilligan’s return to the club which began in September 2024.
The former Tennent’s managing director had been brought in as interim chairman after John Bennett’s resignation due to health issues.
Stewart, who succeeded James Bisgrove, now oversees day-to-day operations at Ibrox, while Thornton takes on the chairman role.
Both men publicly supported Rangers manager Philippe Clement in their first media appearance last month.
