Rangers failed in an attempt to sign a former Manchester United kid before Monday's transfer deadline, according to a report.
It became clear on Monday evening that Rangers' winter business had concluded, with Rafael Fernandes as the only newcomer.
The Scottish Premiership giants did of course announce the pre-contract signing of Lyall Cameron too.
However, according to reports in Italy, the Ibrox side did try to secure at least one more signing but failed.
A reporter for Relevo claims that Rangers made a late approach for ex-Man Utd winger Omari Forson.

The 20-year-old left Old Trafford last summer, and currently plays for Serie A side Monza.
The report claims that Rangers were keen to sign Forson, but were told to look elsewhere when they made an enquiry.
It's believed that Rangers were seeking a loan deal until the end of the season.
Forson has made just seven first-team appearances for Monza so far this term. Most recently, he had been playing for the Under-20s team.
