Rangers and Celtic set for Scottish Cup semi-final blockbuster as Inverness and Falkirk in last four

The four remaining sides in the Scottish Cup have now learned their route to the final.

Rangers, Celtic, Inverness and Falkirk have all booked semi-final ties at Hampden as they all dream of lifting the famous old trophy in early June. The Highlanders were first to secure a spot in the last four after coming from behind to knock out Premiership opposition in the shape of Kilmarnock. That win followed up a big victory at Livingston's Tony Macaroni Arena in the previous stage.

Ange Postecoglou and his rampant Hoops are on the hunt for a domestic Treble and with the League Cup in the bag already and a nine point lead at the top of the Premiership, his troops are in a commanding position to do just that. They picked up a 3-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle on Saturday to book another day out at the national stadium this season.

Holders Rangers made light work of Raith Rovers in an Ibrox last eight clash to join their Old Firm rivals with Michael Beale already stating the importance he is putting on retaining the Scottish Cup crown. They suffered disappointment in the Viaplay Cup Final to rivals Celtic and are desperate to keep this trophy at Ibrox. They defeated Hearts last season to win the tournament.

Falkirk are the final team to make up the line-up with two clubs outside the top flight in contention after tonight's enthralling 2-1 win over Ayr.

The Scottish Cup semi-final ties take place over the weekend of April 29 and 30. Kick-off times and TV details will be released in due course.
