Celtic and Rangers fans were involved in a number of heated clashes outside Hampden Park ahead of Sunday's Old Firm.
The pair meet in the Scottish League Cup final but the build-up was marred by unsavoury scenes between the two sets of supporters. Video footage circulated on social media on Sunday morning showing the fans goading one another, shouting before eventually chasing each other.
Things turned significantly more violent once traffic cones were being launched while police officers tried desperately to diffuse the situation. Their presence didn't do much to stop the clashes, with the video showing one fan being punched and kicked by a number of other supporters.
This prompted one group of fans to sprint off in one direction while the group they were fighting with took off to try and catch them. At this stage, it remains unclear over whether any one has sustained any injuries or been arrested by the police.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing following a disturbance involving a large group outside Hampden Park around 9am on Sunday, February 26."
At the half-time stage, Celtic lead the tie with a goal from Kyogo Furuhashi handing them a one goal advantage going into the interval.
A second from the Hoops ace doubled their lead and while Alfredo Morelos pulled one back for Rangers, Ange Postecoglou's side held on to secure their first silverware of the season with a 2-1 win over their arch enemies.
