NEW statistics have revealed the top finishers in the Scottish Premiership so far this season.
Leading stats company StatsBomb have found that Rangers striker Antonio Colak (0.24) and Celtic winger Liel Abada (0.24) are the best performing in terms of shot 'On-Ball Value'.
The 'On-Ball Value' model is a possession value model that objectively and quantitatively measures the value of each event on the pitch.
In short, it’s a model that looks to assign a value to each action that takes place on the football pitch based on the positive (or negative) impact the action has on the team’s likelihood of scoring (and conceding).
Giorgos Giakoumakis (0.11), Malik Tillman (0.10), Kyogo Furuhashi (0.10), Scott Arfield (0.10) and Moritz Jenz (0.08) are also in the top 20.
Hearts winger Alan Forrest (0.16), Hibernian's Josh Campbell (0.15) and Stevie May (0.14) all make up the top 5 best performing finishers in the Premiership.
Celtic have four players in the top 20 meaning they are currently the best-finishing team in the league. Ange Postecoglou's side have scored 50 goals so far this term.
It should be noted that the list only comprises of players who have played 600 minutes of football or more and only includes performances in the Scottish Premiership.
