Welsh footballer Aaron Ramsey showed us all how to do Valentines Day right as he treated his wife to an extra special surprise lunch.
The former Arsenal midfielder, who recently signed a deal with Rangers FC, showed off his romantic side as he hired out an entire Cardiff restaurant for Colleen.
The exclusive restaurant, Cora, opened just last month and despite usually only having room for 12 guests, the 31-year-old footballer wanted an even more intimate setting for Valentines Day.
As we reported last week, Colleen is a self-confessed foodie who keeps her 22.3k followers on Instagram hooked with her delicious recipe ideas and home-cooked meals.
So she'll have been more than impressed with the big gesture.
Cora is run by Lee Skeet, who trained under Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing and was head chef at the Michelin-starred Hedone.
Restaurant owner Lee shared a photo from the couple's visit on his Instagram page, writing: "What a pleasure it was today helping Wales captain Aaron Ramsey surprise his wife with a romantic Valentine's lunch at the restaurant."
As reported in Wales Online, he also thanked @glittertots "for arranging everything and making the dining room look fantastic".
Childhood sweethearts Aaron and Colleen got married in 2014 in a plush ceremony at Caldicot Castle after meeting when they attended school together.
The couple have three children, including twins who were born in 2018, and have a home on the outskirts of Cardiff but will be spending more time in Scotland as Aaron plays for Rangers.
It's no wonder why the footballer chose Cora as the perfect intimate date spot to celebrate with his wife.
Chef Lee single-handedly cooks each lunch and dinner using just one hob and hot plate.
Lee explained: "My cooking career was abruptly ended in 2017, when I was severely injured in a hit and run, leaving me unable to work, and out of the kitchen for four years.
"During the pandemic - with no income and living alone - I began to consider cooking again. I bought a table and six chairs, and the Bones Supper Club was born.
"In my living room I cooked for just one table each lunch and dinner, serving a set tasting menu and slowly rediscovering my love for cooking again.
"The supper club was a huge success and was sold out for six months. I began to believe maybe I could cook as a career again and I set out to get my own restaurant."
