Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss announced on Friday he is a cancer survivor.
There were questions regarding the former New England Patriots legendary wideout’s health ever since he stepped away from “Sunday NFL Countdown” after announcing he was “battling something internally.”
According to Moss, the internal battle he was referring to was cancer. He spent six days in the hospital, but he is currently out after pulling through the illness.
“Ya’ll know I’ve told ya’ll over the last couple of weeks about me battling something internally, and your boy is a cancer survivor,” Moss said in a live video. “…I just want to give a shoutout to a lot of people that really helped me pull through this. I been in the hospital for six days. I just got out today, thank God.”
This is an incredible ending to what started as a tragic story when Moss first announced he had fallen ill. Here’s hoping he can take the time he needs to recover and get back to doing what he loves to do.
