Randal Kolo Muani issues fresh update on his future amid Manchester United transfer interest

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani has admitted that he 'dreams' of getting the opportunity to play for a big-name club amid Manchester United's interest in his signature.

United, who will get their 2023/24 Premier League campaign underway at home to Wolves, are determined to sign a striker this summer and strengthen their attacking options. Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has been identified as manager Erik ten Hag's top target, but United are operating under the assumption that the London club will not sell the England captain this summer.

That means the Reds are continuing to monitor alternative options and Frankfurt ace Kolo Muani is among them. United are understood to be keeping tabs on the 24-year-old, who enjoyed an outstanding 2022/23 campaign in Germany.

The Frenchman joined Frankfurt on a free transfer last summer and plundered 23 goals in his maiden season at the Bundesliga club. He also registered an impressive 17 assists, meaning he ended the campaign with 40 direct goal contributions to his name in all competitions.

With that in mind, it is hardly surprising that several big-name clubs in Europe have been credited with interest in his signature alongside United, including Real Madrid. And Kolo Muani has revealed that he has ambitions of playing for a top side at some point in his career.

"Honestly, I want to keep improving and working hard," said Kolo Muani. "It's my dream to play for the big clubs – why not, but right now it's off-topic, I'm with the national team.

"We have two important matches [against Gibraltar and Greece]. The transfer window has just started, we'll see all of that when the international break is over."

Kolo Muani is currently away with the France squad and stepped off the bench during the second half of Friday night's 3-0 victory over Gibraltar. The forward was part of France's run to the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar and scored their second goal in their 2-0 semi-final win over Morocco.
