RANCHI/ BOROKO: Kushagra Srivastava of Bridgeford School, Tupudana, in Ranchi is among the 24 students across the country who have scored 100 percentile in Joint Entrance Examinations (Mains), 2022. The result was declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday.
The NTA had held the first session of JEE (Mains) examinations in June and the second in July. Students who appeared in both the sessions were awarded the best NTA score out of the two. Furthermore, ranks of the students having same percentile were determined on the basis of their performance in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, in that order. If the students were placed at tie after comparing the subject marks, those born earlier were given higher rank.
Bridgeford School principal Seema Chitelangia said according to the NTA method, Kushagra has secured the 23rd rank in the country. “His dedication to studies is exemplary. We have not seen him wasting time,” she added.
Kushagra said, “I concentrated on studies and kept practicing and revising the subject materials.”
The son of state government employees Santosh Kumar and Neelam Lata, he scored 100 percentile in the first session too. He passed Class X from St Xavier’s Doranda affiliated to ICSE with 97.8 per cent in 2020 and Class XII from Bridgeford School with 98.2 per cent.
Meanwhile, Delhi Public School (DPS), Ranchi said its student Aditya Prakash got 27th rank in the country on the basis of 99.99 percentile scored by him in the first session.
