The Rams are already missing Van Jefferson from their wide receiver room and now they’ll be without Jacob Harris for a little while, too. Sean McVay told reporters Thursday that Harris will miss the next couple of weeks after suffering a groin strain.
Harris is a full-time wide receiver now after previously being viewed as a tight end, and his absence could explain the Rams’ decision to sign Austin Trammell on Thursday. They need bodies at the position, especially when Cooper Kupp is given days off like he was Thursday.
Harris was competing with Tutu Atwell and Ben Skowronek for reps as the No. 3 receiver with Jefferson out but he’ll need some time to recover before hitting the field again, hopefully before the preseason ends.
Rams head coach Sean McVay said WR Jacob Harris has "a little groin strain" and is expected to miss a couple weeks.
