The Los Angeles Rams will begin their Super Bowl title defense at home in Week 1, hosting the team with the best odds to win it all next season: the Buffalo Bills.
The NFL announced that Rams-Bills will be the kickoff game of 2022, with two Super Bowl favorites squaring off at SoFi Stadium on Sept. 8 – a prime-time matchup to open the new season. While it’s an exciting game to begin the year, it’s also a difficult one for the Rams.

The Bills lost to the Chiefs in the divisional round last season but were one of the best teams in football, and they only got better this offseason by adding Von Miller and Rodger Saffold in free agency, and Kaiir Elam and James Cook in the first two rounds of the draft.
The quarterback matchup between Matthew Stafford and Josh Allen is a fun one and should lead to a boatload of points in the opener. They’re both gunslingers who are unafraid to take shots downfield, and with the likes of Cooper Kupp, Stefon Diggs and Allen Robinson on the receiving end of their passes, big plays should come in droves.
This could very well be a Super Bowl preview in September because both the Rams and Bills are expected to make deep playoff runs next season, so long as they can stay healthy.
