Rams’ Super Bowl odds drop after disappointing 3-2 start

The Los Angeles Rams entered the 2019 season with some of the best odds to win Super Bowl LIV. Despite all their offseason losses, which included Rodger Saffold, Ndamukong Suh and Lamarcus Joyner, the Rams still looked like one of the three best teams in football.

That hasn’t been the case through five games, though, as they’ve gotten off to a sluggish 3-2 start – representative of their terrible first-quarter offense thus far. As a result, their championship odds have dropped.

As of Sept. 5, the Rams were +750 (15/2) to win the Super Bowl. Those were the second-best odds in the NFL, behind only the Patriots (+700). At BetMGM, the Rams now have the sixth-best odds to win it all, tied with the Cowboys.

They’re currently +1600 (16/1) to win the Super Bowl this season, behind the Patriots, Chiefs, Saints, Packers and Eagles. The Rams are tied with the Cowboys for sixth.

Of the many teams sitting at 3-2, Los Angeles is certainly among the best. Yes, there have been issues defensively and the offense isn’t as balanced as it should be, but the Rams have undeniable talent that should get them to the playoffs, at the very least.

Winning the division could prove difficult, though. The 49ers are still undefeated heading into Monday’s game against the Browns, while the Seahawks are 4-1 after beating the Rams last week.

Los Angeles has work to do, and everyone in the building knows how important these next few games are.
