The Miami Dolphins are continuing their search for the best option to be their next defensive coordinator after the team moved on from Vic Fangio after they were eliminated from the postseason.
One name who is no longer an option is Chris Shula, grandson of legendary Dolphins coach Don Shula. The younger Shula was expected to get an interview with Miami, but on Thursday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Los Angeles Rams are promoting him to defensive coordinator, replacing Raheem Morris.
A replacement for Raheem Morris: Rams are promoting their pass-rush coordinator and linebackers coach Chris Shula to defensive coordinator, per league sources.
Miami wanted to interview him for its defensive coordinator job.

While it would’ve been a cool story to see another Shula coaching in South Florida, the Dolphins still have plenty of interesting candidates for their defensive coordinator role.
