For the second week in a row, the Los Angeles Rams will be underdogs. This time, though, they’re on the road.
According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Rams are 2.5-point underdogs to the Buccaneers in Week 9, a road game that will be played at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Neither the Rams nor the Bucs look like the Super Bowl teams from the last two seasons, with both sitting below .500; the Rams are 3-4 and the Bucs are 3-5.
The over/under is set at 42.5 points, which is around the number for most Rams games this season. If you think the Rams will win outright without the spread, the money line is +120, so a $100 wager would win $120.
In Week 8, the Rams were 1.5-point underdogs to the 49ers and didn’t come close to covering the spread. They lost 31-14 at home, getting embarrassed by their biggest rival for the second time this season.
The Rams are just 2-5 against the spread this season, which is the third-worst record in the NFL. The Bucs are a half-game worse at 2-6 ATS, so neither of these teams have played nearly up to expectations.
Tampa Bay is currently on a three-game losing streak after getting beat by the Steelers, Panthers and Ravens. However, the Bucs do have a few extra days to prepare after playing on Thursday night.
