At this point, the Los Angeles Rams probably expect to be on the silent count every week – even when they’re at home.
That’s likely to be the case again on Sunday when the Buffalo Bills and their fans come to town for a critical Week 14 showdown. According to Vivid Seats’ Fan Forecast, 47% of the crowd this weekend is expected to be Bills fans.
That’s a big number, especially considering Buffalo is 2,500 miles away from Los Angeles. It just goes to show how well Bills fans travel, no matter the distance. They’re not the first fanbase that will take over SoFi Stadium, though, and they won’t be the last.
The Rams had no home-field advantage against the 49ers or Packers earlier this season, and Eagles fans also had a huge presence two weeks ago at SoFi.
Offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur said Thursday that the Rams are “always prepared for the noise in SoFi,” though he probably would rather it not be so loud when Los Angeles has the ball.
“We’re always prepared for the noise in SoFi. It is what it is but yeah, they travel well. The ‘Mafia’ travels well so we’ll be prepared like we always are,” he said.
On the bright side, the Rams having no discernable home-field advantage in most of their games in Inglewood should have them well-prepared for how loud Bills fans are going to be on Sunday.
