The Los Angeles Rams have nominated Cooper Kupp for the Salute to Service Award this season, which is presented by USAA. The award goes to one member of the NFL community each year for showing “exemplary commitment to honoring and supporting the military community.”
This will be the 13th time the award is being handed out, with Ron Rivera being the most recent recipient.
The finalists will be announced in January, with the winner of the award being recognized at the NFL Honors show just before the Super Bowl.
Kupp has always been not just a great player on the field, but a leader off it. In addition to his ongoing philanthropy, Kupp has shown support for the military community in several ways. He uses a portion of the proceeds from his Team CK merchandise sales to help “multiple military organizations that actively support service members” as they transition to everyday life.
Kupp also writes holiday cards to military members, both serving overseas and ones who live here in the United States.
We are proud to announce that @CooperKupp is our 2023 nominee for the #SalutetoService Award. 👏
