Rams met with top guard O’Cyrus Torrence ahead of Florida pro day

It’s no secret that the Los Angeles Rams need offensive line help this offseason after allowing 59 sacks a season ago, the third-most in the NFL. The guard position, in particular, features a lot of uncertainty heading into the 2023 campaign but Florida’s O’Cyrus Torrence could fix that in a hurry.

Viewed as the top guard in the draft, Torrence is a realistic option for the Rams in Round 2. He’s a fringe first-round prospect who could slip to No. 36 overall and Los Angeles is doing its due diligence on the standout prospect.

According to NFL Network, the Rams met with Torrence on Wednesday night before today’s pro day. They’re not the only team showing interest in Torrence, but it’s good to see the Rams eyeing one of the best O-line prospects in the class.

Torrence started 11 games at Florida last season, his first year with the Gators after transferring from the University of Louisiana. He was named a first-team All-American and All-SEC, and according to NFL.com, he didn’t allow a single sack in his collegiate career.

He would be a plug-and-play starter at right guard for the Rams, who are seeking help on the interior after losing David Edwards in free agency.
