With Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Demarcus Robinson and Tutu Atwell all under contract for 2024, the Los Angeles Rams don’t exactly have to come away with a wide receiver in the draft this year. They’re still likely to use at least one of their 11 projected picks on a wideout, but it’s not the highest priority.
That being said, a Round 1 receiver isn’t out of the question for Les Snead and Sean McVay. And one option is Washington’s Rome Odunze.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Rams met with Odunze at the NFL combine this week. Rapoport mentioned the Rams, Colts, Jaguars and Steelers as teams that have met with Odunze and could be teams that trade up for him in the first round, as he could be a top-10 selection.
“Also spent some time with the Colts, Jaguars, Rams and Steelers,” Rapoport said. “The reason why those are interesting is those would be potential trade-up teams. Rarely do you see a huge trade up for a receiver, but not never. Obviously, that is something to keep an eye on.”

Odunze ran a 4.45 in the 40 with a 1.52-second 10-yard split. He also showed good explosiveness with a 39-inch vertical and a 10-foot, 4-inch broad jump.
Odunze is unquestionably one of the best receivers in this class and at 6-foot-3 with a massive catch radius, he’d be a fantastic addition to the Rams’ already impressive receiving corps. It’s hard to imagine Los Angeles trading up for a receiver, given the team’s more pressing needs, but it’s something to monitor.
