After the Detroit Lions’ win over the Minnesota Vikings in the final game of the regular season, Dan Campbell said something to Kevin O’Connell that didn’t go unnoticed by Los Angeles Rams fans.
“I’ll see you in two weeks,” Campbell told O’Connell, implying that the Vikings would beat the Rams and face the Lions in the divisional round.
Fans weren’t the only ones who caught Campbell’s shade – intentional or not. Quentin Lake caught wind of it and said in a recent interview, “We’ll keep tabs on that a little bit and hopefully somebody doesn’t eat their words.”
Ahead of Monday’s game against the Vikings, the Rams have quite literally turned Campbell’s quote into bulletin board material. They hung a photo of it in the locker room above a doorway as a way to remind everyone that they’re being overlooked.
They also have the Lombardi Trophy back in the locker room as motivation to go get another ring.
And the Super Bowl LVI trophy is in the Rams locker room with a picture of the trophy presentation, saying, “Football heaven”

Whether Campbell meant it as a slight to the Rams or not, he certainly did give them some added fire heading into Monday’s game.
That’s bad news for the Vikings, who are the only team standing in the Rams’ way of a potential rematch with the Lions this postseason.
