After back-to-back divisional wins, the Los Angeles Rams face a new test on Sunday. They’ll host the Cleveland Browns this week, going up against arguably the best defense in the NFL. Health-wise, the Rams are in much better shape than the Browns, who will be missing Deshaun Watson and potentially Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Nick Chubb has also been on IR since injuring his knee in Week 2, and Myles Garrett is battling through a shoulder injury.
The only players who did not practice for the Rams on Wednesday because of injury were Larrell Murchison and Quentin Lake. Sean McVay already said Lake isn’t expected to play this week, while Murchison’s status remains up in the air.
Michael Hoecht was limited because of a knee injury, while Ben Skowronek and Cooper Kupp were both full. Kupp is still dealing with the ankle injury he suffered in Week 11, but he was able to play against the Cardinals on Sunday and was a full participant, which is a good sign.
For the Browns, Thompson-Robinson was held out on Wednesday, so Joe Flacco got the first-team reps. He’ll start at quarterback if Thompson-Robinson can’t clear the concussion protocol in time to play on Sunday.
Myles Garrett was also held out, as was Amari Cooper. In fact, there were 10 players in total who did not practice for Cleveland, with four others being limited – including former Rams edge rusher Ogbonnia Okoronkwo.
