Rams G Logan Bruss projected to make NFL All-Rookie Team in 2022

The Los Angeles Rams didn’t make a selection in the 2022 NFL draft until the third round with the 104th overall pick. When the Rams finally had a chance to make their first choice, they selected Logan Bruss out of Wisconsin, giving them their third former Badger along the offensive line.

With Bruss expected to instantly compete for a starting job, NFL.com’s Chad Reuter predicted Bruss to make his All-Rookie Team in 2022.

Bruss started at right tackle and right guard at Wisconsin but his best NFL fit is on the interior because of his power and mobility for the position. The Rams are projected to start three former Badgers on their offensive line, with incumbents David Edwards (left guard) and Rob Havenstein (right tackle) welcoming Bruss to the right guard spot.

Just a season ago, the Rams got excellent production from Austin Corbett at right guard. Corbett started in all 21 games for Los Angeles in 2021 (including the playoffs) and logged 1,080 snaps on offense in the regular season (second-most behind David Edwards).

But with Corbett now a member of the Carolina Panthers, the Rams are searching for someone to slide next to Rob Havenstein on the right side of the offensive line. Bruss will likely compete with Bobby Evans for the vacant right guard spot, though, it’s expected for the rookie to win the job.

In the Sean McVay era, we’ve seen offensive linemen make seamless transitions — for the most part — and have some of the best years of their careers playing for the Rams. Given the potential that the Rams offense has entering the 2022 season, Bruss could have an extremely productive rookie campaign and Reuter appears to agree.
