Rams Dominate Vikings: Set To Face Eagles In Divisional Round

The Los Angeles Rams took on the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL wild-card round.

LA dominated the contest, defeating Minnesota 27-9. Matthew Stafford went 19/27 for 209 passing yards and two passing TDs. Kyren Williams had 76 rushing yards, three catches, 16 receiving yards, and a receiving TD. Puka Nacua had five receptions and 44 receiving yards.

The defense suffocated Sam Darnold, sacking Darnold a whopping nine times. They also picked off Darnold once and Darnold lost a fumble. Justin Jefferson was held in check, recording 58 receiving yards.

With the massive win, the Rams are now focused on the Eagles. Below, we discuss if the Rams can pull off the upset and defeat the Eagles in the NFL Divisional round.

Can The Rams Upset The Eagles?

The Rams ended the season winning five of their last six games. The only game they lost during that span was in week 18 when they rested all their starters.

Coming off a massive win against the Vikings, which they dominated the game from the start, they are now set to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional round.

The Eagles defeated the Rams 37-20 in week 12. Saquon Barkley had a monstrous game, recording a ridiculous 255 rushing yards and two rushing TDs. Barkley also had four catches and 47 receiving yards.

The Rams can not allow Barkley to take over the game like he did in week 12. If he does, needless to say, the Rams do not stand a chance.

LA’s defense shined against the Vikings and if they can somewhat contain Barkley and pressure Hurts as they did Darnold, they will put up a fight.

Philly has an excellent defense, so Stafford will need to protect the ball. Nacua and Kupp are a good WR duo but they will have their hands full against a stout Eagles defense. LA will need Nacua and Kupp to come up big and make plays in this contest. They did not need to do much against Minnesota.

The Rams enter the game as six-point underdogs. It will be a big challenge but the Rams are capable of upsetting the Eagles. It will depend on how they perform against Barkley this time around.
