With star receiver Cooper Kupp back in action following a hamstring injury that sidelined him four weeks, the Rams are now reportedly looking to trade receiver Van Jefferson, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
On top of Kupp’s return, rookie Puka Nacua majorly stepped up in the former Super Bowl MVP’s absence, totaling 501 yards on 39 catches through the four-game stretch. Nacua checks in as second in the NFL in receiving yards currently, behind only Tyreek Hill.
The duo of Kupp and Nacua makes it difficult for Jefferson to see as many snaps in Los Angeles now. Fowler reported that the Rams have spoken with Jefferson’s agent about a possible move, and Jefferson is apparently open to it.

During Sunday’s 23–14 loss to the Eagles, Jefferson played in just two snaps. Through five games, the 2020 second round pick has tallied 108 yards with just eight catches.
The Rams have until Oct. 31, the league’s trade deadline, to make a decision about trading Jefferson.
