The New England Patriots are adding another member to their coaching staff. Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay confirmed that game management coordinator John “Stretch” Streicher was joining the Patriots, per The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue.
The Boston Sports Journal’s Mike Giardi put out the initial report last week.
Streicher worked under coach Mike Vrabel with the Tennessee Titans from 2018-2023. He served a variety of roles while with the Titans organization, including director of football administration, football development coordinator and assistant to the head coach.
Many have compared him to Ernie Adams, Bill Belichick’s football research director. Now, it appears that Vrabel will continue to have a right-hand man of his own.
As I reported last week…this was happening. Streicher was a huge piece of Vrabel’s operation in Tenn. https://t.co/zJcyZdor2s

Streicher is respected across the league and will be a solid addition to a Patriots coaching staff that is being reconstructed in a short amount of time. He was a major help in improving the Rams’ situational game decisions.
We’ll see if he can do the same for New England.
