Rams are signing recently cut DL Neville Gallimore to 53-man roster

It didn’t take long for the Los Angeles Rams to make their first roster move since setting the 53-man squad. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Rams are signing defensive lineman Neville Gallimore to the 53-man roster.

Gallimore was cut by the Dolphins this week and because he’s a vested veteran, he wasn’t subject to waivers, making him available to sign with any team immediately.

With Gallimore joining the team, the Rams will need to make a corresponding roster move to free up a spot for the fifth-year veteran.

Gallimore, 27, spent the first four years of his career with the Cowboys before signing with the Dolphins this offseason.

Last season in Dallas, Gallimore had 16 tackles, one sack and two QB hits. In his four-year career, he’s totaled 90 tackles, four sacks and nine QB hits to go along with 11 tackles for a loss.

He originally came into the NFL as a third-round pick out of Oklahoma in 2020, getting selected 82nd overall that year. At 6-foot-2 and 315 pounds, he brings great size to the defensive line behind Bobby Brown III and Tyler Davis.
