During the Rams’ rally at the Coliseum after their Super Bowl parade, a photographer fell off the stage and suffered a fractured spine. Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly were on the stage when the accident occurred and Stafford appeared to turn away after the photographer, Kelly Smiley, fell.
Smiley suffered a fractured spine, which the Rams and Staffords will help pay for.
The Rams and the Stafford family issued a joint statement saying that they will cover Smiley’s medical expenses, and also replace her cameras, wishing her a quick recovery.
“We have been in communication with Kelly Smiley since yesterday’s incident and we are sorry for what happened. As we told Kelly, we will be covering all her hospital bills and replacing her cameras. We wish her a speedy recovery.”
