The Los Angeles Rams went through the difficult process of trimming their roster down from 80 players to only 53 on Tuesday, waiving a bunch of talented players in order to get under the league-mandated limit. Collectively, it’s one of the best rosters in the NFL from top to bottom, led by a group of stars that includes Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald.
There were a few surprises in terms of players who made the team and a couple who were unexpectedly cut, but that’s the nature of the business.
Of course, cutdown day is just the first step in the process for the Rams as they set their regular-season roster. They’ll shuffle things around a few more times before the season begins, whether it’s due to injury designations or waiver claims.
Here’s a look at the complete 53-man roster as it stands right now, with plenty of moves still to come in the next few days.
