Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday termed as "ridiculous" Telangana IT & BT Minister K.T. Rama Rao's tweet on Bengaluru and said people from all over the world are coming down to Bengaluru to start business ventures
Speaking to reporters here, Mr. Bommai said "the city is home to highest number of startups and unicorns" and said there was no relevance of Mr. Rama Rao's comments on Bengaluru city.
KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar said the city attracted investment from different countries during the Congress Government led by S.M. Krishna. On Monday, Mr. Shivakumar challenged to Mr. Rama Rao that Bengaluru would overtake Hyderabad as “India’s best city” by the end of 2023.
A few days ago, Mr. Rao in his tweet asked entrepreneur Ravish Naresh to “pack your bags & move to Hyderabad”, after the entrepreneur complained about bad roads, power cuts, poor quality of water, and bad footpaths in Bengaluru.
State's IT Minister C.N. Ashwath Narayan too hit out at Mr. Rao for his adverse comments on Bengaluru city.
