The Ram Navami Utsava Samiti will be organising the eighth Shobha Yatra in Kalaburagi on Sunday.
Samiti president Raju Bhavani told presspersons here on Friday said that a 15-ft statue of Lord Ram will be taken out in a decorated procession during the Shobha Yatra from Nagareshwar School in Nehru Gunj to Jagat Circle.
Prominent among those who will participate in the Shobha Yatra are Doddappa Appa, ninth peethadhipati of Sharanabasaveshwara Samsthan and Dakshayani S.Appa, chairperson of the Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha. Religious heads of different mutts and political leaders will also join the procession, he said.
